Unpaid carers across Wrexham are being encouraged to share their experiences accessing services in the area.

Wrexham Council is currently running a survey for those who provide unpaid support to a friend, family member or neighbour.

It focuses on how long a person has been providing unpaid care, details of the diagnosis for the person being cared for, how many of hours of care are provided a week and whether you have accessed support from NEWCIS – the provider of unpaid carers services in Wrexham.

The survey aims to give unpaid carers an opportunity to let Wrexham know what is working well and what could be done better.

Cllr John Pritchard, Lead Member for Adult Social Care said, “This survey is really important to us.

“We want to make sure we are listening to unpaid carers in Wrexham and are providing the services, advice and information they need.

“The results from this survey will help us to shape the support we offer to unpaid carers.

“I would encourage anyone who provides unpaid care to fill out the survey.”

The consultation will run until August 31 and can be found on the YourVoiceWrexham website.
