Police are appealing for information following the suspicious death of a woman in Wrexham.

Police were called to a house in Bryn Hafod just off Queensway at 10.02am today where the body of Glynis Eileen Solmaz, 65, was found.

The house is situated on the Queensway, opposite the junction for the Queensway industrial estate in Caia Park.

Ms Solmaz, lived alone and had two Rottweiler dogs which she is said to have exercised regularly in the area.

It is understood she often visited local convenience stores and frequented public houses in Wrexham.

The cause of death is unknown and the Home Office pathologist is due to carry out a post mortem today.

DI Iestyn Davies said “We are currently treating the death as suspicious, but the cause has yet to be determined.”

“We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen Ms Solmaz anytime since the weekend, up to this morning.”

“Anyone with information is asked to call Wrexham CID at North Wales Police on 101 quoting incident number P026849.”

UPDATE THURSDAY MIDDAY:
Flowers have been left in tribute to Ms Solmaz outside her home, several with notes attached.

White suited Police forensic teams are still at the property, which is still cordoned off. Several police vehicles are also outside.

Meters away around the corner on Prince Charles Road six Wrexham Council vans were also parked up, however we do not know if this is connected to the incident.

Its worth noting that while we were in Caia Park we spotted the local PCSO officers twice doing their rounds.
