Two men arrested on suspicion of murder after death of 59-year-old

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 59-year-old man.

At 6:42am on Monday, June 12 North Wales Police were made aware of a report a man had collapsed on a lane adjacent to Cefn Road, Wrexham.

Officers attended the scene, along with colleagues from the Welsh Ambulance Service.

A man was taken to hospital, where he later sadly died.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: “John Ithell, 59, lived on Pentre Gwyn, Wrexham

“His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

“Two men from the Wrexham area have been arrested on suspicion of murder and our investigations are ongoing.
