Two injured following late night collision on Ruthin Road

Two people were hospitalised following a three vehicle collision on the A525 Ruthin Road late last night.

Overnight a number of readers contacted Wrexham.com regarding a road closure and emergency services presence on Ruthin Road, near the Heritage Way turnoff.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police this afternoon confirmed they were called to a collision involving a VW Golf, Ford Transit and Skoda Octavia at 10:07pm yesterday evening.

It has also been confirmed that two people were taken to the Wrexham Maelor Hospital as a result of the crash.

A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We were called at shortly before 10.20pm last night (Thursday 7 September) to reports of an incident on Ruthin Road, Wrexham.

“We sent a crew in an emergency ambulance and a man and a woman were taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.”
