Two people were taken to hospital last night following a collision near the Brymbo Link Road.

Shortly after 6:30pm last night a number of people contacted Wrexham.com regarding a two vehicle road traffic collision, which is believed to have taken place on Tanyfron Road.

As a result of the collision the road was closed for two hours, reopening just before 9pm.

A spokeswoman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 6.24pm last night to reports of a two-vehicle road traffic collision outside the cricket ground in the Tanyfron area of Wrexham.

“We sent a rapid response car and two emergency ambulances to the scene, and two people were taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

“A third person was given a precautionary check-up at the scene.”

The collision is the second on the stretch of road to have taken place in the past week – with three people left seriously injured following a collision last Thursday evening.
