We have two reports of accidents on the roads this evening, one on the bypass by Rhostyllen and the other in Llangollen.

UPDATE 7:45pm: We are told the Llangollen incident is now clear, and the A483 is affected both ways partially blocked due to the accident, with two vehicles confirmed as being involved.

Becka emailed us just before 7pm to report a crash on the slip road, believed to be Northbound, on the A483 junction by Rhostyllen. It is thought to involved two or three vehicles. Kirsty told us: “I’ve just come past this, one against the barrier and the other with its airbag deflated. Hopefully no one is hurt”

Earlier as of 6:30pm down the road in Llangollen the A539 is partially blocked due to accident, involving two vehicles between A542 Abbey Road (Llangollen) and B5434 Station Road (Acrefair). The collision is located near to the turning for the Bryn Howell Hotel. Sensors in the area suggest that there are no major traffic delays, but will affect motorists travelling between Llangollen and Ruabon.

We will update this page as and when we have further details.
