Travellers have left their temporary site on Wrexham’s Industrial Estate, leaving rubbish and gas canisters. The site, located on the corner of Abenbury Way and Clwyedog Road North, started to fill up two weeks ago.

Previously it had been used for a large hopper involved in the construction of the new link road, but had since been cleared. Site access was blocked by several large rocks however two had been dragged out of the way to gain access.

Steve Elsworth got in touch initially to mention he had seen travellers arrive at the industrial estate site, and now has been in touch with the following photographs of how it was left.

Gas canisters around the land.

He says “These photo’s show the amount of rubbish and a surprising amount of gas cannisters that were left behind. I wonder who gets to pay for the clear up!”

Last week a gathering was held at the Wynnstay in town, with several pubs closing early as a result.
