UPDATE: Services between Wrexham and Bidston have been cancelled throughout the morning and afternoon due to disruption caused by Storm Doris.

Earlier this morning Wrexham.com reported that a fallen tree was blocking the track between Penyffordd and Caergwrle, with delays initially expected until 10:30am.

Arriva Trains Wales have since issued a statement advising people not to travel unless necessary, with trains across the country being cancelled.

Alternative bus services have been put on for those who do need to travel today.

More information about travel disruption due to Storm Doris can be found on our live update page here.
