Wrexham’s largest Christmas event will be bringing some yuletide joy to the town centre this week.

More than 100 stalls will be selling a host of festive goodies on Thursday December 7th for the return of the Victorian Christmas Market.

Always a key part in the town’s festive calendar, more than 15,000 people paid a visit to the day-long event last year.

This year the event looks set to be bigger and better than ever, expanding from the grounds of St Giles Church and Church Street for the first time and into several town centre streets.

The changes come as a result of growing demand for the event – with those who attend each year being more than aware of the congestion into the church gates at peak times during the day!

Those attending the event can expect and array of food, Christmas crafts, decorations and much more on offer by traders. There will also be Victorian street entertainers, brass band, a barrel organist, Punch and Judy and a traditional carousel to keep everyone of all ages entertained!

Also on sale will be the new Wonders of Wrexham 2018 Calendar so don’t miss your opportunity to get your hands on this unique collection of shots of Wrexham taken during 2017.

Current weather forecasts for Thursday show that it will be perfect weather for a bit of Christmas shopping and mulled wine in town, with clear and dry weather with highs of a relatively mild 11C during the day.

This year’s market will take place between midday and 8pm. There will also be free car parking in ALL council-owned car parks – but be sure to check how long the free parking is for before leaving your car!
