Three vehicles were set alight overnight in the latest string of arson attacks in Caia Park.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to the area in the early hours of the morning, with the vehicles set alight within half an hour of each other.

The first vehicle took place at 1:27am in the Gernant area of Caia Park, with one crew from Wrexham using one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

Just a few minutes later at 1:36am one crew from Wrexham were called to a second car fire in the Minafon area. One hose reel jet was again used to extinguish the blaze.

At 1:48am the fire service were called to a third vehicle fire on Glan Gors.

One hose reel jet and a CO2 extinguisher were used to extinguish the fire.

A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that all three of the fires had been started deliberately.

It is not known if the arson attacks were linked.

The arson attacks are the latest to take place in the Caia Park area, which has fallen victim to eight deliberate fires since the start of October.

We’ve contacted North Wales Police and are awaiting further comment.
