Further to our tweet on our @wrexham account earlier this evening:

We were called by an eyewitness of the scene who said they were travelling back towards Wrexham from Llay but were diverted through Pandy. Emergency services attended the scene and police were enacting traffic control.

Several local people got in touch to tell us that they could see blue flashing lights, and residents of Pandy reported that traffic was turning around to avoid the accident scene.

Three people have been taken to hospital, two young women aged 25 and 26 with minor injuries. Another person aged 36 was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.
