The Midnight Walk set to return to illuminate Wrexham’s streets for Nightingale House Hospice

Flashing bunny ears and bright-coloured outfits are set to fill the streets of Wrexham this summer in aid of patient care at Nightingale House Hospice.

for the Midnight Walk this June to raise money for patient care at the local hospice.

The flagship event for the Wrexham-based hospice will take place Saturday, 29 June, with participants have the chance to complete a 5k or 10k rote

Participants can choose to complete a 5k or 10k route, which starts at Llwyn Isaf.

Attendees will be entertained with live performances, food vendors, stalls, and more until the clock strikes midnight and the walk will commence.

Talking about plans for this year’s Midnight Walk event, Elise Jackson, Events and Campaigns Manager at Nightingale House Hospice explained: “We are thrilled to be preparing for yet another fabulous Midnight Walk in 2024.

“As the Event Manager, I am excited to witness the community coming together and to make a positive impact.

“The Midnight Walk is a wonderful opportunity for us to unite to raise funds for this amazing cause and create lasting memories in the pursuit of making a difference.”

Sponsorship raised from the event will go towards providing essential services to people with life-limiting conditions at the Wrexham Hospice.

Last year, £55,000 was raised from the Midnight Walk event! These funds go towards various services, including aromatherapy, child bereavement support, music therapy, and more, which aim to support patients and their families’ wellbeing in unimaginable circumstances.

Georgia Bartley, HOYA marketing officer, added: “We feel privileged to once again support the Midnight Walk for Nightingale House.

“It means a lot to our community, and it’s a charity close to many hearts at HOYA.

“We wish everyone participating all the best as they help raise funds and awareness for the hospice.”
