Local police have conducted more operations today in the area warning people involved in the supply of drugs, “if you have no regard for the effects this has on our town and you think we will ignore this…. you are wrong”.

Local Inspector Luke Hughes said: “We have executed another ten warrants across the county today, drugs and cash seized. One gentleman tried to hide a large bag full of cash on the roof of his property by throwing it out of an open bedroom window, sadly for him all recorded and cash recovered.

“The Chief Constable also joined us today and was involved in the arrest of the aforementioned gentleman.”

Inspector Hughes added, “I just want to remind the minority in our community who actively profit from drug supply that it is ‘business as usual’. So if you supply drugs, if you exploit our community, if you profit from criminal activity and have no regard for the effects this has on our town and you think we will ignore this…. you are wrong.”

Today’s raids follow on from 14 arrests on Monday after a range of addresses were raided in the area.
