A teenage boy was injured after an incident in the Clywedog River by Felin Puleston yesterday evening.

Several people were in touch after ambulances and a four wheel drive vehicle arrived to assist an individual who was injured in or by the river near Felin Puleston last night, believed to have suffered a broken leg.

North East Wales Search & Rescue (NEWSAR) assisted, and said: “Assisted Welsh Ambulance Service to recover an injured young man from a difficult access water location near Wrexham. Get well soon from all the team.”

John sent us the top picture of two ambulances at the scene around 7:30pm, with the following appearing on the NEWSAR twitter feed:

The Welsh Ambulance Service told us this morning: “We were called at shortly before 5.05pm yesterday afternoon to reports that a boy was injured in the river near Felin Puleston, Wrexham.

“We sent two crews in emergency ambulances and a teenage boy was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.”
