A group of local students are celebrating after each passing their Introduction to Social Care course.

The course, which is funding by the Community First Caia and Hightown Partnership, offers support to people in developing the knowledge and skills and gives them the confidence to gain employment in social care.

Nine students from Wrexham recently made the grade and passed the seven week course.

During the course one individual gained employment and three have since gained employment. Two have decided to continue with their education.

Congratulating the students, Lead member for Health and Adult Social Care, Cllr Joan Lowe, said: “It is vitally important that we help equip people with the right skills to progress into work or further education.

“Everyone has done very well and they should all be proud of themselves.”
