Signed Wrexham AFC shirt raising vital funds for local hospice
A signed Wrexham AFC shirt is helping a woman raise vital funds for the hospice that took care of her late husband.
This year Bethan Scott, a dedicated fundraiser for Nightingale House Hospice, embarked on a mission in tribute to her late husband Dave
Her journey took an unexpected twist when Andrew from ASH Waste Services, a subsidiary of the ASH Group, reached out to her with a generous offer.
Little did Bethan know that she would be presented with a signed Wrexham AFC shirt – the very same shirt bestowed upon the company as part of their sponsorship for the ‘Man of the Match’ at the highly anticipated Wrexham AFC versus Notts County game on April 10, 2023.
Notably, it was Paul Mullin who earned the distinguished ‘Man of the Match’ accolade in that exhilarating match.
In memory of Dave and in support of Nightingale House Hospice, Bethan decide to organise a prize draw, offering Wrexham fans a chance to win the highly sought-after fully signed Wrexham AFC shirt.
The shirt holds great symbolism, having been worn when Wrexham AFC secured promotion to the English Football League 2.
Bethan said: “’I’m incredibly thankful to Andrew for donating this amazing Wrexham AFC shirt to help me raise funds for the hospice in Dave’s
memory.”
“I want everyone to realise that by purchasing a raffle ticket, they are contributing to providing others with the same invaluable opportunities and support that Dave and I once received at Nightingale House.
“Every penny raised holds tremendous significance, as it has the power to transform lives.
“I am incredibly grateful and overwhelmed by the support we have received, and the funds generated so far for Nightingale House from the sale of these raffle tickets.”
Tickets are available to purchase online here.
