Children across Wrexham and Flintshire hav helped raise vital funds for those with life limiting illnesses in their own ‘reindeer’ run up to Christmas.

Nightingale House Hospice has teamed up with leading law firm Allington Hughes Law, who have kindly sponsored the 2019 Rudolph Run for the special fundraising event across Wrexham, Flintshire, Denbighshire and Shropshire.

The event is great fun for everyone involved. Children can toddle, walk, run or jog around a sports hall or school field wearing their reindeer antlers. In return, the youngsters collect sponsorship money which goes towards the running of the hospice as well as raising awareness about the hospice in the local community.

Alison Stace, managing director from Allington Hughes Law said: “We are delighted to be able to support Nightingale House Hospice once again with their Reindeer Run.

“It is a great opportunity for young people to raise funds for the hospice and increase awareness of the excellent services that the hospice carries out, not only for in-patients but also for the extensive Day Service facilities it provides.

“Thank you to all the schools across the locality for taking part.”

Lauren Tilston, head of fundraising at Nightingale House Hospice said: “We are grateful for the continued support we receive from Allington Hughes Law, not just at Christmas but throughout the year.

“We appreciate that parents are frequently asked to get involved with local charities and causes, particularly at this time of year.

“It is wonderful that we have had almost 4,000 children sign up to take part in this year’s Reindeer Run and hope that they have great fun, whilst raising vital funds for the hospice for those with life-limiting illnesses.”
