A main road into Wrexham was temporarily blocked this afternoon following a two car collision.

Update: The Welsh Ambulance Service say two adults and two children were checked over at the scene, but did not require hospital treatment.

Original information below…

Emergency services were called to the collision on Ruabon Road just after 1:20pm, with a Vauxhall Astra and a Saab involved in the collision.

Police are advising people to avoid Ruabon Road this afternoon as they deal with a two car collision.

Thankfully we are told the incident is not believed to be serious with both drivers out of the vehicle. The road was temporarily blocked while emergency services and recovery attended the scene.

The Welsh Ambulance Service has been called to the crash, pictured above by John, who said: “We were called at about 1.25pm this afternoon to reports of a two-car road traffic collision on Ruabon Road, Wrexham.

“A crew in an emergency ambulance and a paramedic in a rapid response car are at the scene.”
