Resurfacing works on the A483 southbound carriageway junctions 7 to 6 are taking place overnight over the next few days – if the weather allows it.

Junction 7 is Rossett, and Junction 6 is Gresford and drivers on that route will be aware of the poor quality, verging on dangerous, quality of some of the road surface.

Previously patched areas have deteriorated over the last few periods of bad weather with potholes now visible on the carriageway where recent Go Safe data show speeds of over 100mph have been recorded.

The works will mean the southbound carriageway will be closed between 8pm and 6am.

There may be speed limits in place along this stretch of road during the day times and a diversion will be in place via the B5102/B5445 in Marford.

The works are being undertaken by the North Wales Trunk Road Agency and the Welsh Government – although this closure has been communicated to us via Wrexham Council, as both the North Wales Trunk Road Agency and the Welsh Government appear to be silent over the works!
