Roads Flooded But ‘Passable’ In Wrexham After Yesterdays Rain

Update: 10:45am The Council have told us there is “one road closed at the moment B5426 Minera – Legacy. We’re hoping to have it re-opened later today.Some minor flooding across the county but all passable with care, flood signage in place.”

Local resident Vicky Redmond sent the above and below pictures of Darland Lane in Rossett – taken this morning.

Vicky said “Nothing been done by wrexham council, police have been contacted to! Road needs closing!” She said the water was “Going up people drives and also is sewage water so smells”.

We gave live updates on the situation yesterday afternoon and into the evening, and the details from the Environment Agency have not changed since last night saying: “River levels at Farndon are rising and are expected to do so for the next 18 hours. River levels at Manley Hall are rising and are expected to do so for the next 6 hours. In addition to the area detailed, some localised flooding problems may result from surface water.
