Road closed after RTC between Halton and Gledrid Roundabouts

Update: Two air ambulances have landed to assist in the response to the incident.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue added, “At 08:18 on Thursday, 29 June, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Chirk.

“1 fire appliance was mobilised from Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.

“Also at the scene of the incident were: the Air Ambulance, the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

“RTC involving 1 Car and 1 Van”

Emergency services are in attendance at a road traffic collision between the Halton Roundabout and Gledrid Roundabout.

Traffic is backed up along the A5 and surrounding roads.

Police are warning that the road will likely be closed for some time.
