A nightclub in the town centre has relaunched with a new look, new style and a partially new name.

The club which was formerly known as ‘South Central’ relaunched on Thursday night as ‘South’, and Wrexham.com popped down to see the transformation.

Alex Jones, who also owns The Bank and his business partner Ben have relaunched the club after ‘South Central’ closed its doors last month.

Back in November of last year, Wrexham.com reported on Yales Leisure Limited entering administration, which affected Central Station, Yales Cafe Bar and South Central.

However the club has now been given a revamp and a £250k investment by its new owners.

Alex has spoken in the past about his belief in the strength of Wrexham’s night time economy and the investment is further proof of that belief.

Alex told Wrexham.com: “We’re hoping to have a lot going on during the week, yoga classes, Zumba, and that sort of thing. We want to have a dedicated student night too as well as the usual weekend nights out.”
