Resurfaced and repainted Gresford roundabout to reopens ahead of schedule
UPDATE: The road is now open again!
Original information below…
The Gresford roundabout will reopen tonight at 10pm following two weekends of works.
Cllr David A Bithell Lead Member Environment & Transport told us this evening that he had been advised the road will re-open from 10pm tonight as all works have been completed.
Cllr Bithell said Streetscene staff have also taken the opportunity while the road was closed to carry out other essential maintenance work.
He added: “I would like to thank all our Streetscene staff and our contractors who have worked all weekend to complete the work ahead of schedule.”
The closures have resulted some odd traffic around the area this weekend, with HGVs parked up in Borras with confused looking drivers as well as ‘pandemonium’ by the Beeches:

It remains to be seen if the new road markings help local drivers with the usual laissez-faire approach to lanes on the roundabout.
