Some areas of Wrexham have discoloured water this evening.

Update: Dee Valley Water say: “We have carried out planned engineering work at our water treatment works on the outskirts of Wrexham, unfortunately this has caused discolouration of the water supply in and around the Wrexham area.

“We would ask customers to run your cold water taps until the supply runs clear, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.”

Dee Valley Water currently have two areas highlighted, one on Gwenfro and surrounding streets in Caia and say:

“Reports are coming in of discoloured water in the general area of Gwenfro in Wrexham. An engineer has been deployed to investigate. We will update this message once we have a clearer picture”

The second area is around the Golbourne estate in town, with a similar message.
