Maintenance work on the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct has begun.

The works will result in the closure of the towpath at all times between 30 January to 17 February.

As a result visitors are being advised of some disruption to the activities at the site during February.

The canal will be closed during daytime hours, Monday to Saturday from 9am to 3pm and open on Sundays in daylight hours

The measures are to protect the public during these important works, allowing them to be undertaken safely by Canal & River Trust operatives.
