A renewed appeal for witnesses has been issued after a man fell victim to an unprovoked attack while in pub in Wrexham.

The assault on the man, who is in his 30s, took place in The Railway Inn, in Stansty on Saturday 28th October 2017 – the evening of the Anthony Joshua vs Carlos Takam boxing fight,

Police say the victim was hit in the face with a glass bottle and was kicked whilst on the floor by another man.

He sustained serious injuries as a result of the attack and was taken to hospital in Stoke for treatment. The injuries are not life changing, however police say the man is in a great deal of pain and distress.

The offender fled the pub after the attack and has yet to be found.
