Rail services return to normal after vehicle ‘strikes bridge’ in Flintshire

Update: Arriva Trains Wales have confirmed that services between Wrexham and Bidston have returned to normal.

Original story: Rail users travelling between Wrexham and Bidston are being warned of likely delays when travelling this afternoon due to a vehicle striking a bridge in Flintshire.

The incident has taken place between Buckley and Penyffordd.

As a result the following services between Wrexham Central and Bidston have been cancelled and have been replaced with a bus service.

– 11:30 Wrexham Central to Bidston due 12:30
– 11:32 Bidston to Wrexham Central due 12:32
– 12:30 Wrexham Central to Bidston due 13:30

Arriva Trains Wales state that delays to services between Wrexham and Bidston are expected until 3:30pm
