Police Tower Lights Up! (Sort of!)

If you were in town around 9.30pm tonight you may have seen the police station lit up! We trailed this a few days ago, and although it was due to happen last night it was cancelled due to technical reasons.

We believe that involves issues todo with the method the near disused tower uses for lighting and various timers.

Tonight was being conducted as a practice, and the lights themselves were only on for a few minutes and certain colours were not possible as there was no access to certain rooms.

The aim is to retry on Tuesday night and Thursday night between 9.30pm and 10pm, so keep your eyes peeled! The light show is forming part of Spectrum, a special Wrexham Science Festival art in the community initiative being led by Mike Corcoran who is a science writer and presenter at Techniquest Glyndwr and keen artist.

There is cellophane placed on the windows with lights behind and they are using the colours of the spectrum, thus the project name, red at top orange, yellow green and blue.

Wrexham.com was down there this evening, and we will be back to cover Tuesday evening as well.

Get in touch with your pictures if you see it, as it is one off!
