Police are appealing for information after a child was hurt after being hit by an off road motorbike.

North Wales Police say the incident took place yesterday, adding “luckily the child was not seriously hurt” in the collision.

The issue of off road motorbikes is a long standing one in Caia, with complaints about illegal motorbikes and quads being common.

Police and local councillors have previously spoken about the issue, that also saw a police officer hit by a similar type of motorbike last year.

Police have said last night, “This is why we need your help and if you know who is doing it tell us. Next time it could be your child or family member hurt.”

Residents can report information directly to the local policing team by email or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Anyone with any information about the illegal use of motorbikes on the estate is urged to contact North Wales Police on 101 or via the online webchat system.
