Officers investigating the murder of 17-year-old Georgia Williams are asking for help from the public as they search for items that are important to their investigation.

Georgia went missing on May 26 from Wellington, and a body, which detectives believe is Georgia was found at Nant-y-Garth pass yesterday.

The items include a black waist length leather-type jacket, a Samsung Galaxy Y, a make-up bag and a satchel. Detectives are keen to find the black leather-type jacket that has a stand-up collar.

Georgia was wearing the jacket when she was last seen leaving her family’s home in Wellington at 7:30pm on Sunday May 26.

The bag is a spotty leather satchel and the makeup bag is a pink with a floral design and contained various items of makeup.

Detective Superintendent Adrian McGee, who is leading the investigation, said: “Despite a man appearing in court this morning charged with Georgia’s murder, we still have a lot of work to do.

“The support the public and the media have given to our investigation so far has been fantastic, but we need to ask for their help once more as we try to find these items.

“If anyone is aware of their whereabouts or comes across any suspicious items, particularly in the area between Oswestry, Wrexham and Ruthin in north Shropshire and Denbighshire, then please get in touch.”

Supt McGee and the investigation team can be contacted via the non-emergency police number 101 and asking for West Mercia Police.
