Police confirm death of 26 year old local man in Caia Park

Police have provided an update over the ongoing investigation work that is taking place in Caia today.

North Wales Police have said they regret to report that shortly after 7am this morning they were alerted to the death of a 26 year old male, found in the area of Anthony Eden Drive in Wrexham.

The deceased is from the local area and his death is being treated as unexplained at this time.

His family have been informed.

Detective Chief Inspector Dan Tipton said: “Our thoughts are with the family of this young man. The circumstances of this incident are being investigated with the support of local officers and staff. There are a number of lines of enquiry being pursued.”

Earlier today police released a statement saying that officers were in attendance on Anthony Eden Drive, “Officers are currently dealing with an incident on Anthony Eden Drive in Wrexham.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused, but we would ask members of the public to avoid the area for the time being please. There is no risk posed to the public.”
