At around 10:15pm this evening a number of people contacted us regarding police activity around the old ‘Little Chef’ / Starbucks Cafe in Rhostyllen.

Dan Brown contacted us via Twitter saying access via the roundabout and bypass had been blocked off by the police.

It is believed there were around 10 – 12 police cars present. However it was reported that the scene was clear just before 11pm. We are told by one local resident it did not involve a vehicle incident, however was an incident focussed on a bridge. Cars were described as being ‘abandoned’ by the roundabout as people offered to help out with the incident.

Earlier in the evening there had been a separate incident on Chester Road in Gresford.

The incident took place just after 8pm, however it is unknown how many vehicles were involed. We believe the incident took place between The Beeches restaurant and the football club’s training ground at Colliers Park.

The road was closed off and there were reports of traffic backing up to the Gresford roundabout.

Chester Road was reopened by 9pm.
