Police are appealing for information to help find Jordan James Lee Davidson who is wanted on suspicion of murder in Wrexham.

Officers were called at 8.23am on Monday March 27 to an address in Crescent Close, Wrexham where the body of Nicholas Anthony Churton, aged 67 was found at the location.

Det Supt Iestyn Davies, who is leading the investigation said: “Mr Churton’s body was discovered on Monday morning and I am eager to hear from anyone who was in that area from the afternoon of Thursday March 23.

“It is my belief that Mr Churton was killed sometime between 2.45pm on Thursday and midnight on Friday March 24.

“A post-mortem has confirmed Mr Churton died of significant head trauma. Further details will be released in due course.

“I am appealing for anyone who may have information which could assist our investigation to come forward. I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who heard or witnessed a disturbance in Crescent Close or who may have seen Mr Davidson between 2.30pm on Thursday March 23 and yesterday morning March 27.”

Supt Davies added: “I believe Jordan Davidson is somewhere in the Wrexham area and the key to locating him is information from the public.

“Mr Churton lived alone at the property and was partially disabled. He was indeed a vulnerable man. His family have been informed and are being supported by Family Liaison Officers.

“I can confirm that recent operations in Vernon Street, Wrexham and in Old Colwyn are connected to the investigation.

“A 35 year old man and a 27 year old woman, both from Old Colwyn, and 27 year old man from Wrexham have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

“If anyone sees Mr Davidson or knows of his whereabouts, I’d ask that they contact police immediately, but under no circumstances should anyone approach him as he may be in possession of weapons.

“I also want to reassure the public that every effort is being made to locate the suspect. There are increased reassurance patrols in and around the town and people will notice an active police presence as we carry out enquiries.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference V042465.
