Police Appeal After Abenbury Road Store Raided

An appeal for information and witnesses is being made following a robbery in Wrexham last night.

Police were called to Abbey Stores, Abenbury Road, Wrexham, at 10pm on Friday following a report that two men wearing motorcycle helmets had entered the premises.  Once inside, they threatened two members of staff and demanded  money.

Both offenders then left with a quantity of cash and are believed to have made off on foot towards the Tan Y Coed area.

No-one was injured during the incident but a member of staff was treated for shock.

Police inquiries are continuing and officers are in the vicinity of Abenbury Road conducting house to house inquiries.
