Huge crowds descended on Wrexham town centre earlier today to take part in the St David’s Day parade.

The wet and windy weather of the last few weeks cleared up for the celebratory event, which was organised in partnership with Wrexham County Council and Tŷ Pawb, Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam.

Hundreds of people turned out to take part in the parade, which was led through the streets of Wrexham town centre by Band Cambria.

Also in attendance was chief executive of Wrexham Council, Ian Bancroft, Mayor of Wrexham Rob Walsh, Wrexham Assembly Member Lesley Griffiths and MP Sarah Atherton.

After the parade crowds gathered in Tŷ Pawb to continue on with the celebrations and entertainment.
