Long-standing Welsh pastry brand Peter’s kicks off the Christmas season with the launch of their new festive range exclusive to Tesco stores across Wales.

The new range includes a brand-new slice and sausage roll filled with Christmas magic and will be on Tesco shelves across the country from the 1 November.

The festive slice contains chicken breast and smoked bacon in a creamy sauce with sweet cranberries, while the festive sausage roll contains perfectly seasoned pork with smoked bacon and sweet cranberries all wrapped in a flaky pastry.

Available until New Year’s Day, both festive products will retail for a special promotion price of £1.

Famous for its delicious pies, pasties, sausage rolls and slices, the pastry brand has been providing flaky baked goods to the Welsh people for over 50 years, earning its title as the biggest pastry brand in Wales and the fifth biggest across the UK.

Peter’s Food manufactures around 1.5 million savoury pastry products each week serving major retailers, wholesale and convenience and the hospitality sector.

Tesco Wales buyer Nathan Edwards is excited about the new launch and is confident that it will be a hit with shoppers.

“Bedwas, Caerphilly, is an astounding place filled with rich history and wonder. From the famous Caerphilly Castle to the Bedwas Navigation Colliery, the county is a true example of true British culture and Peter’s Food is another embodiment.

“As the largest pastry brand in Wales, I am pleased and proud that we have landed the exclusive festive range from Peter’s and we look forward to an ongoing partnership with this landmark Welsh business.”

Peter’s Brand Manager, Katie Rees said: “We understand the importance of tradition during the festive season, and our Festive Slice and Roll is a testament to our dedication to delivering familiar flavours with a delightful twist.

“We’re hoping our limited-edition offering will bring festive cheer to Welsh households, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to offer it exclusively at Tesco Wales.”
