Pedestrian Injured Following Early Afternoon Collision

A pedestrian has been injured following a collision in Wrexham earlier this afternoon. 

Shortly after midday this afternoon there were reports of a collision in Acrefair. Initially there were conflicting reports of where the incident had taken place, with uncertainty as to whether the collision had taken place on Llangollen Road or Plas Bennion Road.

A spokesperson for North Wales Ambulance Service has since confirmed they attended an incident in the Acrefair area earlier this afternoon.

The spokesperson added: “We were called at 12.24pm today, Thursday 3 September, to a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian on Aled in Acrefair.

“We sent a rapid response car and an emergency ambulance to the scene, and a man (the pedestrian) was taken to Wrexham Maelor.”
