Pedestrian ‘Hit By Vehicle’ On Llangollen Road

A man has been taken to hospital after he was hit by a car in Wrexham earlier this evening.

UPDATE 10pm: Traffic systems are showing Llangollen Rd has reopened, after being closed off for several hours.

Llangollen Road / Plas Bennion Road near Acrefair remain closed this evening following a road traffic collision which resulted in a 65-year-old man being rushed to hospital.

The incident took place at around 5:15pm this evening and resulted in the closure of Llangollen Road. The road remains closed and emergency services are still at the scene.

Request please for any witnesses to an RTC earlier on Llangollen Rd Acrefair near Leisure centre. Any info please ring 101. S140436 refers.

Rob told us: “Nasty incident with a car and unfortunate pedestrian Llan road near Plas Madoc. Avoid for a while”

Sophie has said: “Someone’s been hit by a car by by Plas Bennion road. Roads blocked and a bit of traffic. Hope he is ok.”

Officially the incident is recorded as ‘Whalley’s Way near Hampden Way’, however several people have been in touch to say the incident is around Llangollen Road.

There is no indication as to when the road will reopen.
