Those dreaming of a white Christmas Day are set for a disappointment this weekend, with lots of rain forecast instead of plenty of snow!

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the recent mild weather, there are no snow forecasts in place for the Christmas period this year. There is in fact, lots of rain set to hit Wrexham over the next few days.

Christmas Day itself currently has a forecast of heavy rain throughout the day and is expected to get particularly heavy at around 9am and again at 9pm.

Temperatures are set to be fairly cooler than the mild weather we’ve had recently, before hitting around 12C later in the evening.

For those hoping to hit the Boxing Day Sales on Saturday, take an umbrella and wellies as the wet weather shows no sign of calming down.

Most of the afternoon is forecast to be very cloudy, with heavy showers due to arrive at around 3pm, before carrying on into the early evening.

For those who were hoping for a White Christmas, you can reminisce about the ‘Big Boxing Day Snow of 2015’, here.
