Nine arrested after serious assault – police ‘no longer seeking anyone else’ in connection with attack

North Wales Police have said late this evening they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the serious assault in the town on Monday – after a serious of arrests by armed police.

Earlier tonight armed police made arrests in Oswestry, and yesterday armed police were making arrests in the Wrexham area.

Tonight police said: “Following the report of a serious assault in Wrexham on 2nd April NWP have been continuing their investigation. As a result we have today arrested a further two adult males and two females in connection to this matter and other criminal matters.”

DCI Gary Kelly has confirmed that whilst the investigation continues NWP is no longer seeking anyone else in connection with this matter and would like to thank the public for their assistance with the investigation.
