A new group aiming to help mums across Wrexham to network in a child-friendly environment is to launch this month.

MIBA (Mums in Business Association) offers a space where mums can join together to meet new people, promote their businesses and listen to guest speakers who will be sharing their experiences.

There are various MIBA groups around the UK (and in Australia) run by co-ordinators who generally also are mums in business – but there has not been a Wrexham based one, until now. There’s no annual or monthly fees, people can just pay as they go.

Nicky Nelson has been appointed as the co-ordinator for MIBA Networking Wrexham and brings with her years of experience in running businesses, both her own and helping her husband run his.

The new MIBA Networking Wrexham group will hold it’s very first meeting which is open to all women and mums in business in the Wrexham area.

Mums are very welcome to bring their little ones if they wish to as the meeting will be held in The Squire Yorke pub – which is child friendly and easily accessible with parking facilities – on September 24th.

MIBA is one of the fastest growing business networks for mums in the world. Formed in 2017, the group has amassed 32,000 members worldwide, and they are continuing to grow at a fast pace.

MIBA was started by sisters Leona Burton and Estelle Keeber who had a vision to create a safe hub online where mothers could access the vital information they need to start and grow their business.

The duo have seven children between them, and they are familiar with the struggles faced by mothers: lack of affordable child care, trying to juggle work with collecting children from school, and working around the clock both at work in the home, in order to provide for their children.

Estelle and Leona wanted to turn this on it’s head, by showing mothers that it’s possible to take control of your own economy and make money, without burnout.

It is hoped that the new group will offer mums across Wrexham the chance to network and “develop and grow” in a child friendly and welcoming environment.

Tickets for the first session at the Squire Yorke in Wrexham on September 24th are £15 and can be purchased here.
