Wrexham Football Club have said the last new floodlight at the SToK Racecourse Stadium will be up and operational by the weekend.

Today saw the construction of the final floodlight taking place – picture above from around 4pm today – with the old floodlight still in place.

The club have said this evening, “The Club can confirm that the final floodlight tower will be erected in the next 48 hours and fully operational for Saturday’s opening fixture back against MK Dons.

“The remaining original tower will be removed next week.

“While it had been hoped that the installation would have been completed before now, we are delighted that it will soon be in place and the full impact of the new floodlights will be evident on Tuesday evening for the visit of Wigan Athletic in the Carabao Cup which will also be live on Sky Sports.

“There will be several temporary measures in place for the next two games that were necessary to facilitate the completion of the floodlight installation and we would like to thank everyone for their support in this regard.”
