Mystery Huge Bangs Heard Across Wrexham

Loud bangs have been heard late this evening across Wrexham.

The @wrexham twitter lit up just before 11pm with the first reports, with more continuing through to 11:20pm, and a third at 11:40pm.

There are no reports of fast jet responses that can be causes for sudden loud bangs, power outages, nor storms in the area.

Catherine said: “Heard it in Rhosrobin too. Sounded like an explosion at 11.10 pm. Dogs heard it too and started barking , running up and down.”

Very large fireworks being let off in an unofficial manner appear to be the most logical cause with Vicki describing “White flashes in Caia park”, with Scott mentioning he had seen smoke in a similar location.
