A motorist is appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward after an insulation board came off the back of a pickup van and hit a nearby vehicle on the A483.

Angela Jones from Wrexham says the ‘terrifying incident’ took place at around 8:10am on Monday 9th July when she was travelling on the bypass between the Ruabon junction and slip road to Johnstown.

The insulation board reportedly came off the back of a transit pickup, which had a black back and white cab, before landing on Angela’s car and covering the windscreen.

Speaking of the ordeal Angela said: “It was a terrifying experience. The driver did not stop, in fact nobody stopped.

“The damage in this picture does not look much, however the board has punctured what I think is the radiator or air-conditioning system, which could potentially see me car written off by insurance.

“This would leave myself and my children without transport, unable to go to work and will leave us without the funds to replace it.”

She added: “If anyone happened to see anything at all has dashcam footage I would be unbelievably grateful if you could contact North Wales Police.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident is advised to contact police on 101 quoting reference number W094244.
