Lectures have been cancelled at Glyndwr University, Coleg Cambria is closed to students (open for staff and employer courses) and a number of schools under Wrexham Council are closed (list here) with many more in the area also closed. There is an issue with the Council’s website that was showing information for just 7 schools at 1am, and is showing incomplete information as of 8:30am.

Initially there were no services running in Wrexham and some confusion over the Number 1 service, however that is now confirmed as running as normal.

As of 3:07pm this afternoon Coleg Cambria have confirmed all their sites will remain closed on Tuesday due to icy conditions.

Wrexham Glyndwr University say that all campuses will be open tomorrow (Tuesday) and lectures are expected to take place. As was the case today, there will be limited parking on the Wrexham site, and Regent Street will be pedestrian access only.

North Wales Police advised “If venturing out on the roads be aware of icy conditions. Slow down & allow sufficient distance between you and the vehicle in front. Watch for locations where you may need to drive more carefully, either because of side winds or a greater risk of ice.”

More shortly.
