Marston’s PLC have applied for a premises licence for the Cambrian Vaults, which recently had its licence revoked.

Last week the pub was ‘repossessed’ by Marston’s as a lease was forfeited. The pub has remained closed after a local man died in the premises recently, and it had its licence removed. North Wales Police said of the licence removal: “The closure of this pub is a last resort and a regrettable outcome, however it was necessary and proportionate in the circumstances.”

The new application is for ‘films, indoor sporting events, live music, recorded music, performance of dance’ plus the sale of alcohol from 10am to 11pm every day.

As the application was made last week any representations need to be made in writing to Wrexham Council’s licencing department by the 11th September.
