A man has been jailed for two years after breaching a community behaviour order (CBO).

Police say Derek Roberts, of Swan Street, Rhos, appeared at Mold Crown Court on Friday, January 19 charged with robbery, breaching a CBO and common assault following an incident in Rhos on Wednesday, January 17th.

The 41-year-old who stole several boxes of biscuits from a shop on Market Street threatened to stab a man with a needle during the incident before committing common assault.

Roberts was later remanded into custody and received two years imprisonment.

Sergeant Nathan Harvey said: “Derek Roberts has caused significant demand in the area and has a history of breaching court orders.

“Anti-social behaviour affects everyone who lives, works and visits Wrexham and we hope that today’s result will be welcomed by the community.”

Criminal Behaviour Orders are issued by a criminal court to tackle serious and persistent individuals engaged in criminal activity.

Breaching a criminal behaviour order is a criminal offence and could result in imprisonment.
