One man has been arrested after an incident last night in Caia.

Further to our article late last night where emergency services were called to Y Wern in Caia, police have this morning confirmed they have arrested a man.

North Wales Police told us: “Police were called to a flat fire in Y Wern, Caia Park at 9.50pm Tuesday July 26.

“One man arrested on suspicion of arson. He is currently in custody in Wrexham.”

Both the Welsh Ambulance Service and Police told us thankfully no one was injured.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called shortly after 9.50pm on Tuesday 26th July to reports of a fire at an address on Y Wern, Wrexham.

“A rapid response vehicle and an emergency ambulance attended the scene, but were not required to provide treatment.”

Last night the Fire Service confirmed they were called to the incident but the fire was out by the time they had arrived.
