Man arrested as part of investigation into “offensive graffiti incident” in Johnstown
A man has been arrested as part of an investigation into an offensive graffiti incident in Johnstown.
Police say that a 27-year-old local has been released on police bail pending further inquires.
The actions were condemned yesterday by Councillor David A Bithell, who said such actions were not welcome in Johnstown or Wrexham
Speaking today, Cllr Bithell said he was “pleased that a person had been arrested for the inappropriate crime of defacing inappropriate language in the village.”
He added: “This behaviour is not welcome in Johnstown or any community.
“By not sharing this information it gave the police time to act and they acted very swiftly to stamp this out.
“My thanks to them and the council.”
