Male Taken To Hospital Following Early Morning RTC

A male was taken to hospital in the early hours of this morning following a road traffic collision in Wrexham.

Earlier this morning we were contacted by a number of people regarding an incident on Ruabon Road, shortly after 3am.

One person tweeted to say: “Police and ambulance on Ruabon Road by Bookers Cash and Carry. Looks serious.”

Another person contacted Wrexham.com to say: “Anyone know what happened on Ruabon Road at about 3am this morning. Police cars and ambulance, looked serious?”

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 3.02am to reports a car had collided with a cyclist on Ruabon Road in Wrexham. We responded with a paramedic in a rapid response car and a crew in an emergency ambulance, and a man in his 20s was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.”

Police were also called. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
